Also, if there never were any kit packs then EA could also more easily get away with selling stuff packs and game packs at 50% discounts in addition to expansion packs possibly getting up to 60% discounts as well (or in other words, costing $16 instead of $40). If EA were to make The Sims 4 any cheaper than it is right now it would most likely not take place until The Sims 5 (Project were never Rene) officially comes out although, I am not exactly sure how EA would be able to do this mainly because of the kit packs and inflation. The Sims 4 I think would be cheaper and possibly even better overall if it never had any kit packs (which also never get discounts and are usually not free) despite the fact that console players do not have access to cc and The Sims 3 originally had a store as well where it was not only expensive, but also more expensive than all of The Sims 3 dlc combined especially whenever The Sims 3 dlc gets those frequent discounts.
Despite the frequent complaints about pricing I do not think that EA is going to make The SIms 4 any cheaper than it is right now.
The only people who have the right to complain about the pricing of dlc on The Sims 4 are people who do not live in first world countries/poor people who can barely afford to even own a computer and use the internet.
